Post Final Meeting And Presentation Feedback

The Final Presentation didn't go as well as we hoped for here is the feedback form and Final meeting report:

We are almost near the end of production the next thing is prepare for The release for the public, hopefully we will have the game ready for then.

Final Presentation

We had the meeting:
Meeting Report 9

This is it the Final time we can present our Project before we can release to the public.

Big changes and Finally Animations added to the Saloon Girl Ghost model here is the progress:













The brand new Saloon model from the new start testing textures with green for first look, will not be final texture.











Applied the main texture the hair texture will need tweaking












New dress a lot clean and crisp than the other dress











Hair texture applied and dress texture this model at this point is ready for rigging and animation

manged to put two animations in for the Saloon Girl Model:

And the Idle Animation

We have also began putting sounds within the game however i couldn't get them to work on this blog but here are all the sounds we have acquired so far:
  • Saloon Girl Attack Scream and Idle Crying
  • Cowboy Grunting for attack and idle
  • door opening and closing
  • footsteps
  • gunshot
  • A lot of random scare effects and noises
  • Back ground tone for creepy affect
All and all the game is coming along nicely.

Cuts and Planning

Not much this week just a lot per planing and cutting, and missing group has reappeared and we are in the progress of them back up to speed.

No Model updates this week, i had to back to square one next is the charm.

Big Decisions getting ready for final presentation and Alpha review

To Begin here is our Meeting Report for the week:

the Alpha didn't go so well we were rushed and a few things weren't working which were:


  • Sounds and various triggers 
  • Level load out was starting at developer test level
  • Saloon girl model was not working property
It has taken me a longer time to finish the saloon girl model, the topology isn't clean and the poly count on the model itself is way too high i may have to start over but i am going to attempt to fix the model any way i can here is the progress:














At this point i began to add more detail in the models arms









The Dress at from here has a little detail 










At this point i realized that the model topology and Poly count were unacceptable
  








This was my attempt to reduce poly count it cause dress to disconnect and i had to redesign the dress mesh and connect it

this model has been a challenge for me no where near ready for bones and rigging, i am coming to the conclusion that i may have to restart the whole model from scratch.

Beginning And Progress Of Saloon Ghost Enemy

Our Alpha is coming up soon and we have done a lot of preparation.
Still no word from the missing group member, and The Saloon girl enemy is on her way this is the progress so far:

 The very first design and concept that i started out with still needs a lot of work










After deletion of the legs i begin to craft out the dress using a cylinder shape with 3DS Max











Shaping the first look of the dress to start detailing in Mudbox










After now work in Mudbox, there is more detail in face and skin vein have been applied and the hair color has changed to black


Making good progress and gearing up for alpha looking forward to it and scared at the same time and here is our Meeting report as usual:

Cowboy Model Finished and Animated

Finally finished the cowboy enemy model and animated with two animations:

Post Prototype Check Up

Finally Got back from the States i have two meeting Reports this week to catch from when i was away:

After i caught up with the group they explained a few things to me that we were missing the level and all we had to show was a developer tester level.

but have been working hard as always this is what i have this week:

 Started working on the Boots for mesh to fit bones and rigging
 Finished boots with High Poly count will need to cut down poly count by very large portion 
  Took of some fingers similar look on other hand different finger removed to more of a monster look

Almost ready for rigging and animation still need poly count dropped down alot

Interview and first team meeting


We first things first i had my interview and all went well here is my feedback:

Here is the dream in a nut shell.

Deep Canyon
a Survival western horror first person shooter, guide your way through the dark and mysterious Saloon uncover diary entries to find what happened to the Deep Canyon Saloon but tread lightly danger may lurk any around every corner.  

Very slow start to our first week within our game All of our jobs have assigned and our role and jobs are picked.
